Tabea Baumann
Tabea Baumann is a Berlin-based artist we discovered during the „UdK Rundgang" in 2019. Her intaglio print making technique – in which she experiments with painterly and graphic elements – is quite unique and her work and character immediately fascinated us.
The monumental artwork in our collection (220cm x 125cm), like much of her other prints up to 2019, was produced in the printing workshop of UdK, where she studied under Burkhard Held.

Tabea Baumann is using natural textures, shapes and patterns in her art, which she expresses in painting, drawing and printing. In her current work, she deals with her identity as an identical twin: »With my current works I want to visualize this special relationship and the special behavioural and existential perceptions that have arisen from it - in an abstract way.«
